Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Metro apn

Hey guys, for the past month or so my data has been pulling in at 1x speed. I've reflashed and wiped my device and even switched between touched based ROMs and aosp with no results. I live in Queens new York so I'm just wondering whether it's the result of the merger or location. Is anyone else having similar? Or is an apn switch in order?

Thanks

im not sure what rom your using at the moment, but when ever i've had connectivity issues in the past i would just flash a different modem and it seemed to work. one time i had to call metro and have them send a refresh signal to my phone.

Currently on carbon. Do you suggest I flash a new modem? Of so which one?

The latest one MF2 would be a good start but every area is different. maybe even an older one would give you better speeds/signal

I too have this problem when i go to queens. In manhattan i always get 4g but in queens it goes down to 1x. I didnt have this problem before until i updated my prl to 2037. When i was on 2035 i had 4g in queens.

Ok so I tried the following step and managed to get my lte back a

Settings>wireless and network>mobile network>access point names> choose metropcs default.

So far so good, my mms works as well. Hopefully this helped anyone whose been stuck on 1x
