Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] mms fix for morph rom?

From the comments, it doesn't work for usc owners also. You can experiment with other mms apk and hope they work but it's doubtful.

If you can live without multiwindows I suggest JRom. It's just like morph but with working mms. Only bug I found on it was that wallpapers can't be set from settings. But you can still set it from your launcher.

Really I thought it was working for peolpe... I know it works on morph 1.1 but not 1.3 which is the multi windows one
 
I can send pics just fine and get long sms.. but every time i get a pictures it pop up a different window saying hidden sender address or something.. other then that everything works flawless
 
Oh and my lock screen. Always. Saying weather always saying I'm in Pinewood when I'm not..but that. Also happens in motropolis
 
Can someone try this mms.apk to see if pictures and long text work I pull if from wezenhimier lite rom pictures and long text work for me when I was on it. http://db.tt/YgXdcKpk
 
if u want to send long mms just go menu-add slide, that turns into an mms and u can type as much as u want. for me i did the apn file swap and i used mybackup pro to backup and restore apns and that got mms working

but does anyone have mobile networks location working?? it just says searching for location then says failed i hate using gps :/
 
I've played with Morph/4.2.1 cam/gallery app/multi-view combo for the last week and finally got mms and long sms working. Everything works.
The only bug I have left is the flashlight hesitates for a second when turning off/on, and sometimes wi-fi comes on by itself. (prolly a setting I haven't noticed/found yet... other issues around the house have kept me occupied)

Problem is, I haven't kept a good record of what mods I've made along the way to get everything working... I tried so many different things out of desperation, I lost track. lol

These are a few of the mods I made that I can remember off the top of my head;

Swap out the apn.config.xml file, lte apks and exchange usc files for the mtr files in buildprop (thanks to Shabby and Airtioteclint)

...and I replaced the feature.xml file edgeez posted here in post #518

... and I think I kicked it across the floor once or twice, spat, cursed, and spun in a tight circle three times while listening to the lead in "I" off Black Sabbath's Dehumanizer album (on 11 - not volume 10)... after that, everything worked. ;)
 
So what helped u get mms working... I've tried like crazy and can't get it to work... Driving me nuts

the combo I listed above, and prolly a little credit to Tony Iommi. lol
Seriously, I think the last change I made was the .xml file you posted.
After that, it worked.

Tunneling electrons? Ghost in the Machine? :confused:
It's funny how the same code works differently in different devices of the "same" make/model...
 
That's great I swear I've tried every which way and no dice... I wonder if somebody hooked me up with their back would it work for me that way... :(
 
I have paid attention to the wifi issue and have concluded that it turns on possibly under these two scenarios:
You plug in your charger (almost always turns on wifi for me)
You wake your phone after it goes into that deep sleep (i might be crazy on this one)

I tried all the options i could find but nothing so im convinced its a morphed bug or something.
Theres an option in the wifi settings about turning on wifi but it doesnt seem to change anything for me.
Anyone else notice anything?
 
Not to get off track here but since it's about morph ill add my 2 cents, anyone use it with tsf shell? My install doesn't like it at all, very weird things happen with the it, anytime the phone booted up it was stuck in landscape mode. the same for the stock touchwiz launcher, that crashed every time I tried to delete a screen, I installed apex an it seems to like that one. Nice rom but it wasn't meant for the metro s3... Might go back to black Bean.... But I'll miss multi view lol

I know what u mean... I can't for the life me get mms to work... I just like the multi view so I live with what I have lol...

where did you find the lte apks and usc files?
