Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] New MetroPCS Update MF2 any known root methods?

ok do i move this to my sd card.?and in recovery choose update cause in odin it wont show the file.
im not exactly sure but it seems you need to be on stock mb2/rooted.. then flash it in stock recovery? i've never seen an updater-script like this so it seems very "Official" like it's meant to be installed via stock-recovery.. but i could be wrong :/ im not sure what the motivation is here because nobody's saying anything lol.. im gonna check out irc :D

Do i need stock recovery for this to work?

Yes at least that's what did it for me in my situation I reverted back to stock mb2 with Odin then flash the update via stock recovery, since my s3 is for sale I'm staying like this but is very smooth no complaints here

noticed no visual voicemail with this new update.. :/ or did i do something wrong haha (didn't get ota had to use .zip file)

I also noticed that there is no visual voicemail. They have it on the metro app store I guess we get it from there :):)

I can't get mobile Odin to flash twrp did everything correctly but when I tried to boot into recovery it's the stock recovery

If ur rooted then dpwnload goo manager app abs u can flash twrp from the app. Just press mebu button and choose som thing somthing open recovery

just so you guys are aware, samsung is helping people out:

ro.secure must be set to 1 when updating, that means you have to be on stock rom, stock kernel and stock recovery. you can be rooted... but you must be stock eveyrthing else. as a reminder mobile odin doesnt flash bootloaders so if you have been flashing roms to mb2 etc you may still be on lj1 bootloader etc.

after i did the update i rooted back with odin with no issues at all
install titanium working smoth

How do you root with odin? Does your device status say "normal" or "modified"

I also would prefer to have stock recovery

I still have visual voice mail on mine I had downloaded it from metro app
