Is it possible or would there even be a reason to flash cwm and twrp to my phone? I'm pretty hip with flashing and what not but have never used twrp which seems to be gaining popularity for various reasons which has bore the question. Thnx gs3 family for all of your input and advice.

Only 1 at a time, And twrp is great for me. Ive been using cwm for 2 years but then i got hooked on twrp

I used CWM since I was on the esteem, over a year.

I switched to TWRP and haven't looked back. Mainly because it uses the touch screen .. not the volume rockers or power button.

With the newest tprw, it will install su for you with a push of a button.

CWM also has a Touch version. That said I just changed to TWRP myself.

only difference cwm touch is paid for while twrp is entirely free and open sourced and has few extra options that cwm doesn't have.

Like nuttmeg mentioned you can get twrp easily with a touch of a button using goo manage from play market which is also free.

just use these steps to get it.

pay no mind to the version of twrp on that screen shot i took those pics long ago.
