Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] One more update from metro ;)

Download them and flash in cwm and should write the modem , i can make odin tars if anyone really wants em. ill be updating as time goes on.[/QUOTE]

well if u use mobile odin u can use it to flash zip as well.

anyways for the new members that have joined us heres is the thread to metropolis. you will need to have custom recovery installed either clockwork mod or twrp most of us use twrp but either should work.

I have Mobile Odin Pro, are there any instruction on how to correctly install Metropolis with it?

ah very simple once u use it your gonna laugh at how simple it is to flash a tar. all u do is place the tar in ur sd card then open mobile odin pro select open file then slect the tar and it will load up everything. then from there if u wanna keep custom recovery then go to recovery and press it then press clear then go to the bottom and make sure u have these checked.

then just press flash firmware and let mobile odin do it thing and thats it ;)
 
I want to flash my phone which link do I use or actually which rom is the one for Metropolis. Since Metro has not had the update for the Premium Suite or has it, and if not where can I get it without waiting for it. Pluse do I have to be rooted and again if so what link since I have read so much about Metropolis?

Here you go mam. :)

The update with the full premium suite hasn't been released yet since shabby is still adding tweaks to the rom hes been working hard on it but i assure you guys its worth the wait. :)

also if ur not rooted but do have custom recovery such as twrp or cwm u dont need to worry about root. But if u dont have a custom recovery nor root i sugget u do this method first to get custom recovery + root take your time reading the instructions. very easy dont let all the steps make you nervous once you do it you will be amazed at how easy it was.

also for those that haven't tried shabby's latest custom recovery its pretty cool ya can get it from that link aswell.

the second link provides you with custom recovery and root. once your rooted and have a custom recovery your basically ready for rom flashing. also i highly recommend you doing a nv back up of your phone which stores your imei/esn number and other stuff like your uicc/simcard iccid. and phone number/min number.
 
hey n4zty. glad you're here. got a slight problem. I been tryin out "all" the ROMs on these threads. I been on Deviant for a month & it's been working great, especially with the entropy mod & fandom kernel shabby provided.
Now, my problem is....I wanna come back TW, specifically Metropolis. OK, I first tried goin back to just stock odex, just to see what would happen. I wiped "everything" except my sd card. When the stock rom loaded it seemed to work just fine until I went into the store to dl my apps. none of them would dl. so I went back to my deviant backup with no prob.
but I wanna go back to the inhouse roms. what do you suggest?

When you flash back to tw go into your internal memory with a file explorer and look into the 0 folder and move what you want back to internal or external then delete the 0 folder

ok but wouldn't a complete data wipe erase all the stuff in the internal files anyway?

Won't download? Hmmm that's weird I usually avoid any issues with mobile odin and just flashing the rom from within the phone but regardless ur seeking a solution to an issue. So i take it ur flashing rom from twrp or cwm see if ur doing it this way.

1.factory data reset from within recovery
2. Flash rom
3. Wipe cache/dalvik
4. Reboot system

If that don't work make sure your Google account is properly logged in. Just to make sure delete the account and re-add it. If that doesn't work report back I'll help u figure it out.

Yeah, I don't know anything about odin so I just leave it alone & do everything with twrp. Yeah, it's weird. Not the first time I had this problem either. ldrifta suggested to delete folders using my pc. I did that too with no help. I went in & erased everything in internal storage. then went & did a data wipe & factory reset. & still no apps would dl.
It would say download in progress, but I left it like that for 20 min & nothin happened. I even picked the smallest app I have to dl first.
OK, I'll give it all try again tomorrow & let you know what happens. thx

One more thing I just thought of: I didn't wipe cache/dalvik before reboot. could that have been the prob all along? It can't be that simple lol
