Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Please help me root after 4.3 update!

Hello all. I am somewhat familiar with rooting and flashing ROMs but my new MetroPCS Galaxy S3 has been more trouble to root than my previous LG Optimus and LG Esteem phones. I have not tried anything involving Odin yet because I've seen there were less complicated routes to take that worked for others but simply aren't working for me. I also hoped that by now there would be a more updated and easier root method - the Sticky hasn't been updated since 2012. My phone updated to Android version 4.3 with baseband T999NUVUBMK7 and I have not seen any rooting methods specifically mentioning this version so I wonder if that is why motochopper won't work when it seems to have worked so well for others. I also tried oneclickroot but wasn't sure if it had worked for SGH-T999N before. I do have drivers and Kies installed; Device Manager shows Samsung ADB Interface.

Please let me know a way to root my phone in as few steps as possible, or a simple explanation/guide of the Odin method. Maybe it's not as complicated as it looked Thanks in advance guys; I know your expertise will help me get this thing rooted finally.

I figured it out already before seeing a reply. I'm so happy it actually worked! It was so simple. Here is my solution, it's called SafeRoot:

Glad you got it all working, however it is worth noting you have the GSM metropcs SGS3, not the CDMA one. using stuff from this subforum can and will cause headaches for ya.

I just used the odin file list on shabby's site to update to 4.3. It worked but now I only show to have 3g. Could u tell me how to get my 4g back. I know I cant go back to 4.1.2 and its the cdma version s3.
