Hey this ROM rocks it is great I'm running the 0530 build is the 0606 fully working I saw couple of posts before stating it was breaking 4g
I notice that this rom doesnt have apollo music player how can i get it
Thanks bro
The latests nightly??????? Or the one before that?Flashed boots and everything but not 4g just 3g
Now i don't have 4g at all even after restoring a back up
The latest one and when trying to restore the one I have before 4g didn't work either when back to stock via odin and no luck either what to do to fix this
Factory reset in recovery after flashing completely stock thru Odin than restore a back up.
Nv restore...and then restore back up
I didnt back up with nv i saw in a post that twin prime had the same issue and he solved it with nv flash can you guys back up a stock rom with nv (4g working, and no data) so i can use it please
I have uiccid unknown
NV is a separate thing from the ROM. It's your identity on the network. Our phones should have good backup copies of our NV info, but some do not; and only have zeros in place of NV data.
Once you had FIRST rooted, you should have opened a terminal app, typed/entered su then reboot nvbackup to properly save your correct/working data.
I got my 4G back by:
1. Opened a terminal app
2. Typed/entered "su"
3. Tipped/entered "reboot nvrestore"
4. Let the phone boot loop for a bit
5. Pulled the battery
6. Entered into custom recovery mode manually (started phone holding volume up+home button+power button, release buttons when you see the little flash of blue text in the upper left of the screen)
7. In recovery, factory reset
8. Restore backup of nightly-20130530 (or, hopefully, any other backup that had 4G working prior to flashing the broken ROM; it might also work installing a ROM where 4G works but I hadn't tried that)
9. Wipe cache
10. Wipe Dalvik cache (may have to look in advanced settings)
11. Reboot system & hope.
But i didnt nv back up so i dont have any working nv backup to use
Are you on stock or Metropolis now?
But i didnt nv back up so i dont have any working nv backup to use
Im on carbonrom but i can go back to stock
I'm no expert, reading through this thread: http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?t=653672
A long while ago, I had flashed been 4.2 and 4.1 ROMs and hadn't done an NV backup (I didn't know about them). I called Metro and told them I had problems after a factory reset of my stock phone; they did something on their end (it's been so long I can't remember details - other than a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach) and I got normal service back on stock. No problems since but I did do an NV backup after that.
Anecdotes aside, (worst case scenario) you may have to restore stock (rooted) ROM, restore stock recovery, reset flash counter to 0 (only possible on stock ROM/stock recovery), unroot, and then send your phone in for service/replacement. I hope it doesn't come to that.
I'll make no promises. You can try going back to stock to see if you have an ICCID and whatnot.
