So Ive seen kernel listings here and there and I never gave them a second look. But looking in the last Kernal thread posted someone had an excellent battery life.

So what are the pros and cons of flashing a different kernel?
 
some of the pros of having a custom kernel are better battery life, faster processing, overclocking, various tweaks and overall speedups/stability. the downside is sometimes they can be unstable :)

ive been using lean kernel on my sgs3 with metropolis for months now with no issues
