Depends on where you are putting the file. Make sure to switch to external sdcard if that's where you put it

when I plug my phone in I just drag the zip file to the internal SdCard I think ? It has download folder dcim etc etc

If you put it in the root of SD (not in any folder) you should be able to find the zip file near bottom of the list in twrp if its anything like CWM

Yes it's usually like this but now it's showing zip folders in TWRP that's not showing up on my computer..

yea its a small bug that happens when ur into flashing lots of roms. first theres the usual case with the 0 folders i flashed so many roms just testing for shabby that i had them like this 0/0/0/0 so if u do find a zero folder take everything important to u from that and move it outside of the 0 folder then delete it. also new 2.5.0.0 twrp has a toggle to switch from internal to external to otg usb just hit the tab up top change the location of where u want to search and it you should be ok.

Hmm do you happen to have the link to the 2.5.0twrp

fastest way to get it just go to play market and download/install goo manager from there hit the soft key menu button on bottom left corner of your phone and select install open recovery script that should download and install latest twrp for ya without you doing anything. but if u want to flash on your own just for any other reasons.

heres the one for our phones.

Put the file on the root directory of your sdcard and toggle to that in twrp.

I want to help you so much because i believe you just have a navigation problem since thats what I had and its not really a problem more like learning your way around it. I think its going to be hard without pictures but the files you are seeing (like goodness etc) are in the emulated folder i believe. I always seem to have files there that ive deleted already.

I suggest copying all of your roms to the root of your SD card and not internal memory. and once you boot up TWRP and press install on the top its going to say "select zip to install" then right under that it will say "Storage: Internal Storage (xxxx MB)" <- you want to press that and change it to "Micro SDcard" and once you press back it automatically show the root of your sd card.
Now all you have to do is scroll all the way to the bottom and all the zips should be there. :)

Nasty I just deleted the whole 0 folder, but now it says I have 6.47gb free space but nothing is there :S

Free space is good. Again some of you guys having similar issues and some different. If u have 0 folders twrp will detect one of them as default internal location. The trick is to look at the files in twrp and see which one it's using for example I kept placing roms and mods on my internal but when I would boot into twrp it wouldn't show then I noticed some files showing in twrp that I didn't see when I placed the rom in internal so I went into 0 folder and looked for the files I saw on twrp and located it to be in the second 0 folder so I took all the important things out and moved them to internal sd card outside of the 0 folder then deleted the 0 folder then rebooted back to twrp and bingo it showed the correct location.
