Go into App Settings app and scroll down to system ui and turn it on. Then there you can change the density to it. Shouldn't mess with the Play Store.

Scratch that...im using 1.6 which is the paid version. Which works great. I had the same issue as you with 1.5 which is the version of the link I posted...so I took it down.

ALPHA BLUE!!! Its perfect dude! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40923061

There's more themes in that thread. None are as good as that alpha blue though. Hue is okay.

Edit: this alloy light blue theme looks really good too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41407861 different themes in that thread too.
