Root [MetroPCS] Extending ext4 Partition

Does anyone know how to increase a primary ext4 partition? I tried several partition managing programs on both Android and Windows to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated!

How do I unmount the ext4 partition? I tried unmounting using RS Drive Expert, but when I try to increase partition in Aparted it displays an error and suggests that the partition may be mounted.

If you are using APP2External_SD you should disable it temporarily and reboot the phone then unmount from the storage settings. I would suggest disabling Link2SD if you're using it but before doing so make sure AParted is on the internal storage.

I'm using SD card swap hack and link2sd. Should I disable hack in smanager? What about unallocated space? Should it be after or before the ext4 partition?

BTW, I made a copy of the ext4 partition as well as made a copy of the contents of SD card fat32 partition onto my Windows hard drive.

Yes disable the hack in smanager temporarily and enable it when you're finished. On AParted tap on your ext4 partition, then find the box where it says create and change it to resize then apply. It'll say that resize can destroy data tap OK since you're just adding more space from unallocated space then readjust to your liking and tap OK and it'll resize.
Here's how I have mine

I tried increasing the size of partition, but it still displays the same error. I disabled hack, then rebooted. After boot up I unmounted SD card. (You mentioned to disable link2sd, but I don't see an option to do that). Finally I opened up aparted. After selecting ext4 partition to resize, I was given only the choice to extend into unallocated space AFTER the ext4 partition. (I have 4 GB unallocated space before ext4 partition and 3 MB unallocated space after.)

If I can get it to resize into the 3MB unallocated space after ext partition then I should be able to get it to work. I just need to delete ext4 partition from SD card and copy the ext4 backup of partition on hard drive back into sdcard, making sure to leave no unallocated space between the fat32 partition and ext partition.
