Root [MetroPCS] F6 always says high temperature

My f6 always throws up unable to charge, and throws up high temperature error, it's usually when I'm downloading a movie or tethering. I don't know what's wrong, no one else seems to have this problem that I've talked to and I don't have multiple apps running when it gives me this error.

All I can recommend is restoring your phone back to factory by following this guide. If the issue still persists after restoring then you might have hardware damage or battery gone bad.

That's pretty shitty, I already have my phone dialed in, just installed xprivacy and learning that.I really don't want to start over. Thanks for the insight, you're always a helpful person, thanks again

Your temp running high constantly is 99% having your screen brighness over 82% 24/7. Keep it DOWN below 82 as much as possible your temp will go and stay down. Test it yourself find a good number so you can see your screen but not burn your sack when you out your phone n your pocket.

What GT said is likely the best bet for now. Losing your place sucks when you have a ton of stuff installed, but starting from scratch my help you identify the problem, if there is one. BMX is also right about the screen brightness affecting heat as well. I keep my brightness set between 30% - no higher then 70% and never had any issues. My girlfriends phone has had the high heat warning before, but we live in Florida and hers happened while using GPS navigation while driving with the air off, and her screen brightness is set at a constant 90%.
