Root [MetroPCS/GSM] Please help me with rooting my gsm S3

Im having a problem rooting my new S3. I've tried using Odin to flash can recovery and it said it passed but when I tired to reboot into recovery it was still stock. Is there any other ways to gain root access on this phone? This is the 1st time I've had a problem rooting any of my phones, so any and all help is GREATLY appreciated...also if there's files for rooting could you please post a link to them? Im detoxing from having no root access...lol
 
I will say I'm loving the speeds I'm getting now...

Yeah I was born and raised in South Miami. I lived in Richmond Heights & moved to the Redlands right before Hurricane Andrew hit. We lost everything. We tried to stay but after a year of the crazy stuff going on after the storm, we had to move out of there. Now im in the Tampa Bay area. I will take you up on that beer at a show :D

Hey, what recovery are you using? I have two downloaded right now, cwm 6031 and 6031dtmo and can't decide which to use

Heck, you may know my dad Billy Fowler or his brothers, they grew up there too. Huh, small world. I was JUST barely north of the major damage for Andrew, lived just inside of the agricultural area off 147ave and quail. That was a scary storm, just glad I was like four when it happened.

Thats crazy my grandfather's name was Billy Joe Fowler. My dad use to build flats fishing boats called Crossovers. He had a shop in Kendall. As far as the recovery, im still using the stock. I havent gained root access yet. Im about to try what you posted. This is the 1st chance ive had to get on the computer today.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help. I finally have root access on my phone!!! I haven't checked my inbox, im gonna do that now. Once again much appreciation brother

I may be down in the South Miami area in a few wks. I'd love to check out your music if possible. I hav e to go to Louisiana to help my mother and on our way back to Tampa Bay I was gonna take my kids to S. Miami to show them where I grew up and show my oldest son his uncles grave so he can see who he's named after.

Let me know when. I'd link you to my own music but all I keep are home demos and concept tracks. Studio time is not in my budget.
