Root [MetroPCS/GSM] tether without $

  • Use USB tethering.
  • Use a rooted stock ROM with a tethering app.
  • Use a custom ROM with tethering included.


DISCLAIMER: Depending on the option you choose, and the Data plan you have, you may see your speed throttled to 3G after reaching your 4G cap, and you may have to play with the user-agent string with your browser to get it to work.
 
If I root can I definitely tether because if I don't have to I don't want to. I been trying to tether with foxfi (wirelessly and through usb) and it won't let me through. I just keep getting the 4G hotspot ad when I try to connect thru my computer. It won't let me thru what should I do?????? Plzzzz help that would be the only reason I root if tethering works, but even so if I didn't have to root I would love that.
