How would I do this with my s6 there is no rooot out yet and I can't text, call, send mms use data etc

Is the s6 your 1st gsm device? Root isn't required to change APN. Is this a metro branded s6?

Yea its a metro branded one and I'm looking into the settings now, some aren't matching up with op's post. What should I fill in for some of those.

Also yes this is my first GSM device. Used to CDMA, idek what's changed other than that everything doesn't work and I'm a little lost.

The custom one I also tried rebooting phone after inputing settings

There's this too, if all else take it to a corp metro store and have them insert the proper apn: https://apn.gishan.net/settings/988_23_metropcs_apn_settings_for_samsung_galaxy_s6.php

i plan to activate my new phone (lg g stylo) online next monday
If i do activation for my new phone, do they charge extra fee for activation?
i checked metro pcs website and i found that i have to put my credit or debit card information during the activation process
please let me know

Activation of a new phone should be free when it is completed online or over the phone.

The OnePlus X US version has the correct bands for MetroPCS, yes.

The European version doesn't have the right bands, maybe that's why you've seen conflicting info?

Can you tell me what Bands are needed for full service MPCS w/Lte, and
Bands that US OnePlus X have?
Thought we needed 1700/2100

From the first post in this thread:
GSM- 1900MHz

HSPA- 1700/2100MHz or 1900MHZ. 1700/2100 has the larger coverage area at this point. But all further HSPA expansion is in 1900.

LTE- (AWS)1700/2100MHz
B2 = Band 2 = 1.9GHZ = 1900MHz = PCS
B4 = Band 4 = 1.7/2.1GHz = 1700/2100MHz = AWS.
Later in the year of 2014 they will start using PCS and 700MHz B12 for LTE


OnePlus X has:
GSM - 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
HSDPA - 850 / 900 / 1700(AWS) / 1900 / 2100
LTE - 1(2100), 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900)
