Root [MetroPCS] How do I disable or freeze the Google app while playing music?

Whenever I play music or podcasts through the stereo jack the google voice app opens occasionally and either prompts me to use voice search or voice dial, as though I said "ok google" or the command for google voice dial. The stereo cord I use is just a regular male to male stereo cord that is plugged into my car radio (the same thing happens with a set of headphones I have) but my phone recognizes it as a cord that transmits voice also.
I already use tasker profiles to launch my music and podcast apps, is there any action I could add to these tasks to freeze or disable the voice apps?
If not is there any other way I could do this with root access?

I posted this on the tasker forums and never got a reply.

Did you try wiping the goggle voice search apks cashe in settings/applications? if we know which ROM your using may help us find a solution for you also.

Thisstarted happening before I rooted my phone. I think I'm still using Jelly Bean, I haven't flashed my phone. I did flash my SD card with DataOnSD. Also, I cleared the cashe of the voice dialer app and it didn't change anything.
