I am trying to help a friend get Wi-Fi tether on his F6. Is there a way to do it on a non rooted F6? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

As long as your friend is aware that doing this is against your provider's policy without paying for a tethering plan. FoxFi is an app in the Play Store that works on non-rooted devices

Download "portable wifi hotspot free" on the Google play store it bypasses the stock tether app.

My friend already has Foxfi installed on his F6. The USB tether works, but the WiFi tether doesn't.

Download the app portable wifi hot free. It's just one click and you could change ssid and password.

This does not work...always goes to the upsell page even with User Agent. This activates the stock hotspot!!

It does, works great except for the problems I had with other tether methods. Unrooted and rooted with foxfi.
