I want to be able to achieve two things on this phone that would make it a better phone.

First, is it possible to have something like the iPhone camera on the lockscreen, while maintaining the password. So basically you have the password ready to be entered, but if you don't want to unlock the phone and just open the camera instead.

Second can you have an unlock ring and password together. I feel it just looks better with both. I could get a custom lockscreen, but it seems there is a delay in between turning off the screen and the lockscreen launching.

You could try xposed lock+slide. It says that it allows both the slide and password screen.

I tried that already. It doesn't work. Until we get pure stock or Cyanogenmod its not happening.

unless you use xposed mods/third party lockscreen, thats a ui tweak that probably wont happen
