Newbie
i recently rooted my phone using f6 root 3 very short days later i had my phone connect to my lab top and the lab top was doing an update on my drivers i belive. When my phone all of a sudden said download mode do not unplug until process is finished so i went outside to smoke,i come back 5 minutes later and the lab top had rebooted i belive and my phone would not do anything my lab top was running off of my wi-fi hotspot so i could not get back online to fix or to see if i could fix it. its still in download mode i tried 3 or 4 flash methods and nothing has worked so far is there a way to sucessfully flash my phone or to fix it :(:mad::questionmark:

thank you so much for your time

Try the volume down button. That should reboot to normal mode. If not, the normal fix is to pull the battery which you can't so try holding the power button until it reboots.

(BTW, if the laptop was installing a driver, it was installing the driver into the laptop, not into the phone.)

I tried the volume down button, and that didn't work.
I took the battery out and when it came back on it went right back to the download mode screen i tried the factory reset, holding the volume down button and home and power button this didn't work either i tried downloading "Odien" i believe it was i downloaded a zip file that was supposed to have the kdz file or apk i think it was, none of these methods worked.

(Yeah i wasn't sure what was downloading or if one of the programs started running but i did find a document afterwards that i hadn't noticed before like a progress report or something to that effect, it wasn't my lab top, but could that determine what I need todo to fix it

If your debugging mode was turned On.. which most people turn on if they are doing mods via PC. Go ahead and get ADB. Connect to your phone via ADB by hooking it up to your computer and get into the file system.

Find and modify (by deleting lines) or just delete the build.prop file in the /System/ directory so you soft brick your phone. Restart the phone.

Then download and or open up if you already have it, the LG Mobile Support Tool from the LG site. Hit the connect button when it comes up, the phone will connect and the LG Mobile Support Tool will find and download the "I" firmware. It will update and reflash your phone back to stock.

Seems it's a PitA way to do it but it seems maybe the only way. The 2 methods I suggested to you in PM are ways I found online other people have solved this problem. Sorry they didn't work out for you.

"Take the battery out, hold the power key down and insert the battery again. Continue holding the power button till you see the main screen." This is the #1 solution I found online for anyone experiencing this issue on many different phones short of taking the phone back under warranty and getting a new one.

Also no offense to you Irish, you just happen to be another victim of a flash/root process gone wrong. This is what can happen if someone doesn't really know how to use what it is they or using whether it being the user or the person who developed the flash/root procedure.
