Just a forewarning to everyone. Tell your friends and family with cdma phones if they are using metro that they will lose service as of the 21st. You can no longer add CDMA phones to an account and they told me as of June 21st they are shutting down the CDMA network. Time to upgrade folks. These old phones can be brought into a metro retailer for a free or discounted upgrade to an lte phone.

i have the LG Connect 4g but it hasn't been used for about a year... can i still trade it in for a new phone? or nah?

Still up and running in the SF Bay Area and no notice yet of a shut down.

I got a $90 credit in March even without a trade-in and bought the ZMax.

Too bad the LG Spirit I have is worthless - they can't even give them away on eBay.

I wonder if they would work with another CDMA carrier?

I wonder if I can swap it for another ZMax and then sell it?

From what I've heard the CDMA phone must be active to trade it for credit.

According to the Metro website their CDMA deadline is tomorrow:

When must I upgrade my phone that operates on the legacy network?

Phones operating on the legacy network must be upgraded by 6/21/15.
