Root [MetroPCS & T-Mobile] delete

Root your phone.
Install XPosed Installer (known as the Framework).
Install XPosed "Modules" pertaining to your needs. There's a few that would work. Some that I could suggest off the top of my head are:

GravityBox
XBlast Tools

And if you wanna get hardcore on the LGSystemUI, like turning off the QSlide bar in your notifications bar with relatively minimal risk, try:

Resflux

The first two are pretty user friendly. You'll have to install and activate each module within XPosed Installer, and then reboot for them to take hold, at which point you can make your modifications as you see fit, reboot and behold the magic. :D
 
That guide will help you decompile and recompile lgsystemui. Once it's decompiled you can mess with it. On the Virgin Mobile the qslide could not be disabled without modding the lgsystemui
