Root [MetroPCS] (Tweak) Build Prop Tweaks

Just wanted to share easy build prop tweak here.
This prop change will work on stock ROM or stock-based ROMs only.

ime_onehand_keyboard=true

ADD

This line enables one-handed operation mode on system setting. Usually this mode is default enabled on phablet size phones but not on F6.

Add this line on build.prop, save it, restart phone, go to phone system setting then you will see new option is added between Lock Screen and Storage.

ro.lge.lcd_default_brightness=100

CHANGE

Sets the default brightness on after reboot. This is not %, so 100 is close to 30%.



lge.nfc.defaultonoff=off

CHANGE

Turns off NFC by default.


ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false
ro.lge.capp_resource=false

CHANGE

ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false will disable LG Lockscreen setting. By doing so, it brings AOSP lock screen. You can't edit the shortcut buttons though.

ro.lge.capp_resource=false will remove LG Lockscreen shortcut panel on bottom side. Turn this to false too for for full screen AOSP lock, otherwise you will see grayed out horizontal panel on bottom.




ADD - prop not exist, you need to add a whole new line
CHANGE - prop already exist, change the value only
 
I think this would be a great place to post tweaks. Make sure to list current ROM and version.

@bard, at the bottom I see you're trying FM radio on F6. I thought the F6 runs msm8930? The D505 is also on 8930 but has FM radio enabled. Anyone with a D505 on jellybean or kitkat post their stock build.prop?

F6 runs msm8960, same as LG Motion and LG Spirit.

If you look files and stuff... F6 has some framework and apps that cooperate with LG FM Radio app. LG FM Radio appears on Qslide, it has its own icon on notification bar.. But again, it's missing drivers and all necessary files.

Actually... F6 is missing more files than LG Motion.. I was able to turn on fmconfig script with LG Motion and Spirit but not with F6.

So far I copied some library files but very slow progress so far ><

Are you sure it's 8960? Every other site including LG mention 8930. I thought 8960 comes with adreno 225 and 8930 comes with 305? Good luck, I hope something works out.

You are correct! It's 8930 lol
Why on earth build prop says it's 8960 though??



P.S.
I guess LG made F6 firmware based on 8960. If you change this to 8930 on build prop, you will get boot stuck ><.... KDZ'ing now... ** Keep ** build prop value as 8960.
 
Just a tweak I found to enable AOSP lockscreen on JB.

Change the value to false for the following lines in build.prop

ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false
ro.lge.capp_resource=false

This will allow music controls which don't exist with LG's lockscreen.

I've changed all of these to other option and saw no noticeable effects on JB. Phone will boot.

Thats not correct... If u change to =true
It allows you to change themes like, black,pink, etc.etc like the the LG G2.
I knw its a rom around for the F6 around with a lg g2 port keyboard.

This Will not take effect unless u hav any themes
 
If you take to the max you may do some major damage that can result in needed new part . just saying don't max out

Well not really.... If u past max value You will encounter battery drainage fast, lcd heat, n phone reboots
I can recommend that use a value of 176 but 100 its fine

This is not true.

Download all rootdim from playstore.

You can set it from 0 to 255. As bd depending on other ROMs change certain other light features like led flash home keys.

No damage from maxibg it out. Damage comes from heat. So if you overheat your phone in anyway it can break. Raising the brightness alone will not shut off the battery auto off overheat protection. The phone shuts off if too hot. That's why some Chinese batteries cause phones to blow up

Also this would be the bat doing the damage. You Won't burn out your screen ALTHOUGH I use max all the time. I have several dead pixels maybe that's the cause
