Root MetroPCS vs T-Mobile updates?

What is with all the updates to the MetroPCS variant? Tmobile hasn't released any updates as they are stuck at B22 and that was released a long time ago and ever since that update there hasn't been any, in the meantime Metro has had more updates to the ZMAX. can anyone explain why that is the case?

if I had to guess... metro users hack more than T-Mobile.
