Can anyone tell me if there is a cheaper version of the Mhl adapter for the siii? i want one, but the cheapest I have found is 39 us. Any help is appreciated :D

There are some cheap ones on ebay but you have to be very careful with making sure it actually works on the s3. If it says it also works on s2 then don't buy it.

I seen some on ebay for £8 which is around $13-14 I think.

monoprice just released theirs. $13 for the mhl and required adapter.

Ok just read up some more, what type of power source are they talking about:

This accessory provides users the ability to stream content from phones, regardless of if they have a 5pin or 11pin micro USB port, to an HDTV with the HDTV Adapter Tip. The HDTV Adapter supports HD signals up to 1080p. In order to function, the Adapter also needs to be connected to a power source via the Micro USB port on the adapter itself

(This was on Samsung sites for the description of the adapter)

Thanks again for your help

The power source is the micro usb SGS3 wall charger you use to charge your phone. The MHL cable is connected to the micro usb port on your phone, you then connect the phone charger to the MHL cable to allow it to work.
