Hi , I'm new to this and i have a problem with the mic on my S2, it got water damaged back in Feb and about 2 months ago the mic stopped working and i changed the part but all i get now is a crackling when i turn the phone flat and talk directly into it so has anyone got any ideas what is the problem. I have to say that after the water i took the phone apart and dried it thoroughly and it worked perfectly until as i said 2 months ago so any help or advice would be great thanks

I suspect there was leftover water somewhere in the device which slowly ate away at some connection somewhere on the board. Unfortunately it may be hard to determine where exactly its coming from, but if you have previously opened the phone it may be time to do it again and have a look around.
Do you experience the same behavior with a headset in or just via the built-in mic?
