Help Mic volume very low for Samsung galaxy5

My mic volume is very low, people are complaining that they can't hear me properly, i tried understanding what to do in the service mode but I am not getting anywhere, any suggestions.

I have 2.2 and people can't hear me at all during calls unless I put it on loudspeaker. Any solutions?

I also have a problem with the microphone.
Microphone is quiet,
If you turn on the speakerphone that works much better (good).

How to know the version number?
