mic1/mic2 - do they work?

okay, so, you know how you can get mics that go along with the headphones? like the same 3.5mm plug...well, id like to know if one of those will work with this phone? and if so, will functions such as play/pause/answer calls, work as well?

long story short, yes....mic1 buttons and mic will work on this phone....
i have had 2 different skullcandy headphone mic combo's with multibutton work flawlessly..
but, i know other things do-not work...such as a line in cable to a car stereo. however, 2 different radio transmitters have worked as a work around for me.

Some headphone jacks will NOT work w/this phone... I cant plug my phone into my stereo, well I can but the sound only comes out ouf the phone

jeni, just so u kno, there is a ground loop adapter cable u can buy that will solve that problem for u. u will b able to plug ur phone into ur stereo with no issue. the adapter is super super cheap too. under 2 bux...http://www.ebay.com/itm/370290546211?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

You can also use a splitter and a cheap pair of earbuds. The earbuds allow it to activate the headphone jack, and the splitter allows you to plug in what you want to hear. Ugly, messy, but only takes $2 at the dollar store and a few seconds.

As for that eBay link: I got one and it worked great to activate my Venture's headphone jack. The mic was terrible, people said I sounded like I was very far away in a tin can. After a few weeks of playing music through my car stereo, the wire on the adapter frayed and that was the end of that...not interested in buying them in bulk!
