Help Micro SD Card not showing all directories

I retired my HTC Desire today and got my Razr going, I love it. I installed Perfect Viewer to read some graphic novels and looked for the directory on my Micro SD card.

This is /sdcard/Documents/Comics but Perfect Viewer won't see the directories. It can look inside the SD Card but not that file, any idea why? Did my old phone set rights to the file? I'd like to be able to see all files..

Hello,

Welcome to the forum. Have you tried using another application? Maybe 'perfect viewer' isn't compatible with the device. Try clearing data from the app - this might get it working for you - Also, Astro file manager might just be what you're looking for. Best of luck.

Happy Holidays. ;)

Have you also tried opeing the files strainght from file manager?

Maybe move the Comics folder to the root of SD?

Have you looked in sdcard-ext? This is where the 16GB micro SD is located. sdcard is an 8GB internal drive. If you plug in a USB and select USB Mass Storage you will see them both.

I can see the files in root explorer but the default application isn't shown. I get two wrong choices to open the file with. It's most infuriating. I'll try copying fresh through USB and report back.

My sd card is opening but folders inside it are not visible. Some files are visible only.
What I did ->

Computer icon on desktop right click> manage > Device manager > disk drives > scan for hardware changes.

While doing this, it will find new driver. In my case it found the new driver but was not able to download it from internet. But still i tried it again and again but it failed. But My drive content opened suddenly while doing this. All content was now visible. So do the scan for hardware changes again and again and it will solve the problem.

;) The solution is very simple when you switch any memory device from one system to another. By system I mean another phone or computer. If you cannot see the folders and files in another system, do the following:

1. Check the drive letter of your sdcard or pendrive from my computer.
2. Go to accessories, command prompt, open it as administrator.
3. At the command prompt in DOS mode, type attrib -h -r -s /s /d Driveletter:\*.*
4. Close the command prompt.
5. When you again open your sdcard in my computer, you will be able to see ALL Folders.

Addendum: There is a space between all letters in the command (attrib space -h space -r space -s space /s space /d space) except after ......Driveletter:\*.* (Example: If your drive letter is e, type e:\*.* WITHOUT SPACES). Backward slash only at the end, rest are forward slashes.

surprised there is not a program to copy SD to pc and then back to SD especially with people upgrading to larder sd cards and doing so and seeing the full size of the new sd cards and partitioning it correctly..
