micro sd card not showing

hi - my kingston micro sd card 64 gb is not showing up in my samsung s8..any ideas ? ive tried reseating it with a firm push so it clicks in positon, ive formatted it as well on my other phone, ive restarted the phone, seems like a common problem with the s8..any help or ideas, my m icro sd card is genuine and works fine on my htc 10..

When you go into file manger does it show external memory?

no guys it doesnt show up in file manager, nor does it show up in device management..i cant format it as it doesnt show up...its as if the card isnt inserted..it clearly is as it works perfectly in my htc phone..

Check under settings>storage and see if there's an option to format SD card.

Going by what you've done to confirm the card itself is OK, maybe we should be focusing on your phone. You wouldn't have another card available, either a spare or one you can borrow from a friend, just to check the microSD card slot in your S8 isn't the problem.

today i tested a couple of micro sd cards from freinds at work..took them out of their phones and put it into my s8..the microsd cards dont show up in the phone..loooks like a problem with the phone..ivegot a courier coming monday to pick the phone up and return it to samsung..hopefully the will sort it...looks like a hardware problem..
