Hi there, I recently got a new tablet that runs Kit Kat and am having issues with the Micro SD card. I am well aware that the Kit Kat update created a lot of issues with WRITING to the SD card, but have not read anything about problems with READING them.
So, for example, I read a lot of comics and have loaded a lot of comic files onto the SD card from my laptop computer. Since I put the files onto the SD card using my laptop computer, I was able to write to the SD card just fine. However, when I put the SD card into my tablet, none of the comic reader apps I use (Perfect Viewer and Comic Rack) are detecting any files on the SD card when I search it. Neither are the file manager apps that I use.
So what gives? Is the problem I am experiencing part of the Kit Kat update's issue with SD cards? Or is there something else I am missing? How do I read the files on the SD card using the comics apps? Is rooting the operating system my only option?
