Help Micro Sim or Regular Sim?

sx4dude2013

I plan to get the T-mobile variant and use it on straight talk. When I go to purchase a sim card im offered two options:

1) T-mobile regular size
or:
2) AT&T regular size sim or micro sim?

What does the T-mobile Note 2 use...micro or standard sim?

If it uses micro, can I use a T-mobile version Note 2 with a AT&T micro sim card??

Thanks!!

I spoke to straight talk and since the note 2 uses micro sim then i will need to unlock my device to use it on at&t...

I am by no means an expert, but you could probably cut it. AFAIK only a small portion of it actually makes contact with the device to work.

Ive done a lot of reading an im just gonna unlock my device to use it on AT&T via straight talk. im gonna wait a while before I shove a cut piece of plastic into a phone i just paid $700 cash for. lol

I can definitely understand that! Lol. When I got my Moto Atrix (Which was only $199 when I bought it originally) I attempted to root it (it ran froyo) and put gingerblur on it...I got my phone stuck in a bootloop less than 5 hours after getting it. Luckily I found out about RSD and everything so I was able to fix it, but I almost cried.

FWIW, I've had many devices unlocked from TMo and at&t before, but at&t may not give up the unlock codes for several months for a new device. I'm still waiting for the Atrix HD unlock codes to become available.

Can i cut the regular size tmobile sim card? or is it super easy to unlock a device?

I had an old sim from another carrier I used in the past which was regular sized but had cut out lines for the micro sim so all you had to do was break away the inside to make the micro sim, then after pulling away the micro sim you were left with the cut out shape, which I put over my existing regular sized O2 sim and cut it to fit.
Aftet all that I was left with a perfect micro sim.

understand that if you can lol

Yes. I spoke to T-Mobile and they said since I'm paying retail for the device and buy from them directly. I will be able to get the unlock codes before I leave the store :)
