Help microphone sensitivity

is there a way to adjust this? i was at a concert last night and tried to record a few clips, and when i got home, everything is muffled as hell. i found someone else who posted a video of the concert and was maybe ~15-20' from where i was at, yet theres is clear...i doubt it was from another incredible, but ive had this issue with digital cameras too.

any way i can fix this so i can get some good clips next time i go to a concert?

You'd need some sort of sound filter; maybe a piece of pop filter over the mic would work? Or better yet some sort of external microphone.
