Help MicroSD card performance issues.

Hi there, I have a samsung galaxy s5 Omega Rom v8.0 Jellybean 4.4.2 with SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card - 64GB - 30MB/s
I have an issue with the external MicroSD card.
When I put the card in, format the card and benchmark with A1 SD Bench I get a result of about 191mb/s read and 8mb/s write. If i copy large files to the card the benchmark results suffer and the write speeds drops to 1.42mb/s if I copy movies to the card they become corrupted and don't play.
Also photos and videos taken by the phone and saved to sd are corrupt.

I have noticed once I had formatted the card and only let the phone store photos/videos on. This worked well till i hooked up the card to my pc and copied a movie over, then i seen the 1.42mb/s issue again.
I'm planning to change the card to SanDisk SDSDQX-064G-U46A Extreme Plus 64 GB 80 MB/s MicroSDHC Card Class 10 UHS-I
Has anyone else seen this issue with the S5? Is my phone faulty?

Someone else had an issue with the scan disk memory card. If you look on android central there's a question about it. Sorry still learning and not sure how to put a link in here for you. The problem was with the memory card itself. Maybe try a Samsung ext memory card and see if you have the same issue.

It all has to go with how did you format the SD card . and sometimes big cards are not made to go in some devices. I had a problems with a 64 GB card didn't work corrupted everything dropped down to a 32gb worked fine . so don't delete anything just insert the micro SD into the adapter and put into the PC/computer fix and see if you can view anything such as movies or photos.

Hi, i did try what you said and formatted it on my pc with exfat or something, but unfortunately the issue happened again. I was trying SD card boosters and everything to no avail.
What did help tho was ditching the sandisk and buying a Samsung Memory 64GB Pro MicroSDXC UHS-I Grade 1 Class 10 Memory Card without Adapter
This sd card was the answer to all my issues.
Thanks for your assitance.

Wasn't it mentioned there was a bad batch of Sandisk memory cards, forget what certain ones now. Something about Sandisk acknowledging this but I think there should be no more bad ones on the store shelves by now. Sorry I can't remember all the details. Mary
