Help MicroSD card problems

I am using my 8gb card that came with my milestone and lately, it's been acting up. On many occasions, it wont even show up on my phone. it says its unavailable and i get no access to my files. I try restarting the phone and plugging it into the computer through usb and after doing that a few times, it finally shows up and i can access my files.

Is this a common problem or should i start looking for a new microSD card?

If it is the card acting up and not being caused by some files on it, it should help. You won't know if you do not try.

Yes back everything up, and then format the card in either the PC or the phone and all should work after that. If it don't then you have a bad SD card.
 
ok so i formatted the card on my pc and i have to say that it took a very long time for 2gb of data to be copies back to the card. when i turned on my phone, i went to the gallery and it took 2 minutes to load up my pictures. it seems like the card is acting up, correct?

It took a long time because it needed to refresh all the content.

Does the card have the same issues as before with the phone not recognizing it?

If so, maybe get a card from someone and see if it works ok, if not, then your phone is not ok.

So far, no problems. Ill wait a couple of days and see if it continues to work without any issues. Thanks.
