MicroSD Problem

Hey,

I bought a tablet and inserted my microSD card and it showed me this: Preparing your SD Checking for errors. This is showing up for days now.
I have tryed 3 types of SD a 2GB , 4GB and a 16GB all 3 the same problem.

Please, help me. I have been to some store's and they also couldn't find a solution.

Hi Jordy, and welcome to AF.

If the tablet does this with many different cards, the obvious explanation is that there's a problem with the tablet. If it's new, and a factory reset doesn't fix it, I'd suggest returning it and getting a replacement.

Can you format the card on a computer using a card reader? If you can format and still get the error, then it is really a problem.

Some makers put stuff on the cards you DON'T want and some devices will fuss.
I think it was SanDisk that used to include software links to process your pics. I just had a fuss with a SanDisk card that wouldn't work in tablet. Could see what was on it in Ubuntu, but couldn't format. Switched to XP and got the card formatted. Tablet then had no problem with reading the card.
