MicroSD Suggestions?

That appears to be a class 1 card, with class 10 being the fastest.

I would look for a faster card. You can get a class10 16gb card for around $15 online, so a 32gb shoukdnt be too hard of that's the size you want

It's UHS-1 which is supposed to be faster than class 10

I believe UHS over class 10 has another advantage, large file size. Might want to check on that before getting a class 10.

I picked up the UHS that I linked and I'm going tomorrow to pre-order my S3 White at BB tomorrow. :D

This is my first Android phone and really the first one to get me excited. I've been planning to use it alongside my 4S but I may just ditch the 4S altogether at this point.

Yeah, I should've included "cat's meow for the price." Kind of what I was getting at. One of my best buds has that exact memory card, though, and it consistently performs well above the class 10 spec, fyi.

I have a microSD card from my previous phone that I want to use with my S3. I already reformatted the card. But my S3 doesn't seem to recognize it. Help!

I ordered the 16GB S3 and figured all my media could just go on the external. If I were to need to move any apps to the MicroSD, would this be possible? I've seen conflicting posts about being able to smoothly install apps off the main memory. If this is the case, I'll change my preorder to the 32GB.

Many apps move to the SD just fine, and are designed to do so. And large apps usually prompt to install their bigger files on the SD rather than built in memory. You should be fine. I ordered the 16GB myself. I will either get a really fast 32GB or wait for another killer sale like they had on the 64GB. They had one for $52. It was only class 4 or maybe 6, but shoot, that's a lot of dang storage space on the cheap. I don't expect a sale quite like that for a while again though.

That is not correct, apps can't be saved onto the external SD card, they are on the internal memory

I have the 16gb (12gb accessible) and it is plenty, though I have had a HTC Desire for the last 2 years and I had to survive on a paltry 148mb, I have an external 32gb microSD card which I save photos/videos on and also transfer movies and tv shows onto

Well I plan on upgrading from my HTC Inspire to the new SGS3 and unless they changed something within the OS/ICS you can save apps to your SD card. I know I've had to do several resets of my phone but not the SD card and the apps that I'd saved to the SD card were still there, as well as my pics and music.

I'm pretty sure Geordie is correct. I'll caveat what I'm saying with the fact that I've never owned an ICS phone. However, if my memory serves me correctly, 4.0 disabled app2sd which had been available in previous OSs. So that apps could not be run from sd cards any longer. You may still be able to transfer them back and forth, not sure and who would want to, but I'm pretty sure you can't run them from sd cards.

If you can spare the bucks, you can get a standard "class 6" 64gb for $70 via Amazon.

I have two (one in Razr and one in TF300). Works great with small and large files :)

Indexing is speedy, which is a sign the card is decent speed.
