Microsoft and Foxconn

Back in 2004, I was working at a computer retailer called PC Club Computers (not sure if it's around anymore, haven't seen it in years), and one of the things we frequently saw were systems with Foxconn boards having absolutely HORRIBLE compatibility with windows until we applied a specific BIOS update to it. It was so bad that it was standard procedure there to apply the BIOS update to any Foxconn board that came through our doors while we were there, just as preventive maintenance.

Hopefully, they've come a long way, if they were deemed worthy of assimilation by the collecti- er, Microsoft.
