Help Microsoft Exchange 2010 email on ZVB

My co-worker has an LG Esteem. Our corporate office just upgraded our Exchange servers to 2010. For my TMO SGS2, this was seamless and everything is still working as usual.

For his LG Esteem though, all of his email usage has come to a stop. He apparently got a workaround by using an old server address. But that server is going to be decommissioned in the next month. So now he's worried that his LG Esteem won't be able to do work emails anymore.

Is there a certain trick to making this work on the Esteem? Do you need a custom ROM or ZVC to get Exchange 2010 syncing to work?

Thank you.

He was able to get this working finally, but now our IT department has a new policy that all phones must have a PIN or Password lock screen AND must have device encryption enabled. As far as I know, device encryption is not supported for the LG Esteem. So it looks like the only options are the following:

1) Find an Exchange APK for the LG Esteem that has the security enforcement disabled.
2) Use Touchdown with a $20 license.

We looked at Moxier Mail but it apparently only supports one Exchange account. We need support for multiple accounts.

I've seen Exchange APKs for many other phones, but after searching the forums here, I haven't been able to find one yet for the LG Esteem.

I've seen them for other phones, I'm not sure what it would take to integrate them or if its just a normal apk if I see one around ill be sure to post a link :D

My company requires a pin and encryption on a 2003 exchange server, i use the touchdown app and dont have a pin or encryption set up, dont know why that app seems to work around it, but it has for me.
