Accessories MicroUSB port in a horrible spot!, Right angled plug...

I think it was placed there to make the cord less annoying when the phone is in landscape mode in a car mount for navigation, or (hopefully) for a horizontal docking solution, but I see what you mean. Thanks for the post.
 
there are alot of new phones with charging port on side. Storm and BB Storm are my two most recent to have it but after those two i am used to it by now. i will say that when i first got the Storm i was so irritated.

Never thought of that, good point. I don't use it in landscape mode, but i can see it coming in handy for google navigation or for watching movies while you drive. Err wait nevermind the watching and driving part ;)
 
guys, obviously keep in mind you can get the cables from a lot of places, the point was to let people know the cable exists, obviously search around and find the cheapest place

Let us look at the positive here. HTC was placing the USB on the bottom, but it was also the headphone jack... I will take a right angle usb and a 3.5mm jack any-day :)
 
thanks everybody for all of the links! no one else has google, amazon, or ebay to search for the best price. please keep posting all of the gazillion places to buy this $5 piece and save $.54 cents. You might have not checked cablestogo, monoprice, and dozens of others.

Monoprice had it cheap...it was no right angle usb but for 3bux, I jumped in. Alas, it was out of stock so I just cancelled.
