milestone cannot receive duplicate text

Hi I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the following and if so what is the fix?
My milestone will not receive duplicate text. If I receive a text and the same person texts me the same thing it will not show up in my conversation at all.

I'm not sure why this is a problem. What's the likelihood of the same person sending you duplicate texts? I would venture that it is a security feature to prevent being spammed with the same message or flooded just to ring up charges.
