Help missing 4.7GB

According to the box that my S3 mini came in ,I am supposed to have 8GB. Well when I go to applications manager it is saying I only have a total of 3.3 GB . Where on earth is the other 4.7 GB ??
And how to i transfer apps to SD card ?

It's not missing,it's what the stock rom and bloatware apps take up. Yes you have an 8GB phone but that doesn't mean that's 8GB free space.

Well that is very misleading of Samsung to say you have 8GB when you really don't. Would be better to just say you have 4GB

Yeah it's very misleading,tricks of the trade I guess. I just rooted mine,removed the bloatware and moved all my apps to sd.
