I've seen several people make mention of missing apps in the app store in various other threads (someone mentioned PayPal for instance). These are all people who got the phone early.
Engadget mentioned the same issue in their review:
Quote from the Droid Incredible review @ engadget:"One other item that cropped up -- which may or may not have to do with this being anunreleased device -- is that we got very different results for apps in the Market. Some programs we were looking for just simply didn't show up in our searches. We hadthe same problem with the Desire when testing, and HTC says it's looking into this problem, though we have yet to hear a proper explanation from the company on why this is occurring.

There are a few other forums where I have seen this happening on other HTC phones running 2.1. These primary are seen on HTC Legend and Desire. Below are the links:
Missing apps on HTC Legend (Android 2.1) - Android Market Help
Issue 7591 - android - HTC Legend , Missing Apps on Market (free apps , not specifically about copy protected apps) - Project Hosting on Google Code
I figured I would start a thread to see if any other people who already have the Incredible in hand have seen the issue.
So, anyone seeing any issues certain applications not showing up in the App Store?
-----
Edit:
In another post I found the following regarding using the apk to install Google Earth. So this could an alternative if you are not able to find a certain app in the market. Doing this is dependant on the apk being available for the particular app you wish to install (dependant on the maker of the application making the apk available for download):
-----
If you've found apps that we not in the market but were able to install using the apk, can you post information on the app name and a link to where you were able to pull the apk from?
Also, anyone want to provide a quick how-to on installing from the apk (I don't have the phone yet so can't do it myself).

Correct. Some applications need to be updated on the market to show up. I just used the apk for google earth. It works but not on the market yet.
