Missing calendar after software upgrade!!! HELP!

[ET Note]

I am using Samsung Note and had just upgraded my software (4.1.2). To my dismal, all my calendar appointments gone missing!?! I had used android for more than a year and had never sync with my Mac (Cannot be synced). Is there anyway I can recover my calendar? This is most frustrating!

Did you have your calendar syncing with your GMail?

[ET Note]

Nope... I was unable to.. Can I still get my appointment back?

Doesn't it sync automatically? I have never set it up or something and still I can recover my calendar from my gmail.

Maybe it did sync, have you already tried recovering it?

I had just signed in to my gmail to check the calendar, it is also emptied... I too thought that it will be sync automatically..

Check to be sure you have Sync Calendars box checked in settings. If you don't have the "Sync Calendar" box checked in Settings > Accounts > Google. It will not sync.

Yup... It was not checked and now I had just turn on the check... Does it mean that it is forever gone my appointment ?

Unfortunately, I think so.

How did you update? Via OTA or via Kies?
