Missing Calls

I just got my Evo last week and have been trying to find the setting (if there) so if I'm browsing through apps or on the web and a call comes in, it overrides so I don't miss the call. I've searched online and can't seem to find it.

In advance, your help is appreciated and if it's something simple, sorry for being a newb.

I've only had my phone for a couple of weeks, so I'm not sure if this is the setting, but under settings->Call, there is a DDTM mode checkbox which is labeled "Send voice calls to voicemail during active data connection".

I don't get enough calls to ever have gotten called while using my data connection (I also use wifi whenever at home), so I don't know it the checkbox does what it says.
