Help Missing Clock,Battery and signal icons on S3

Hi
This is my first post here just upgraded to a new galaxy s3 yesterday from the original s1 captivate and the s3 is totally a different Smart phone.
I am wondering if the icons on the top right are suppose to disappear after a couple hours, this happend all day yesterday and today until I restart the phone.
I Just surf the web and learning alot of cool things this phone can do.
I have only the original apps installed and is stock not modded.

As far as I know you can't do this on the stock ROM. There are some custom roms which allow you to hide specific icons from the status bar, but that's not the case for the one Galaxy S3 comes with.
