Help Missing contacts?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but bear with me because I am new. :3

I dropped my droid razr going into dinner the other night and the screen shattered and went black. I was able to answer phone calls, but they could not transfer anything to my new phone when I went in and upgraded today. I still was able to get my google-linked apps, etc. and pictures on my SD though.

However, tonight when I got home I realized that I am missing several contacts that I recently added to google. I know that I chose to save them as google contacts, and have already went into my gmail to check and make sure they weren't in a weird folder. Any idea where they might be?

Thanks :)

I do not know why a damaged phone would delete contacts from your GMail account, but you can always try restoring your contacts to a point before you dropped your Razr.

Warning, if you have added any new contacts since the point you restore to, I think you will loose them, so backup or export before trying this.

Go to mail.google.com and change to Contacts (on the left side, under Google, default is GMail).
Click More from the top menu.
Click Restore Contacts from the drop down menu.
Choose a date within the past 30 days to restore contacts.

Note, under the same dropdown menu is where you can Export your current contacts.
