Help missing google books app?!

Hello,

When i got my nexus i couldn't find Google Books App, even though when i search for it in the store its says that it is Installed and when i check my apps in setting i also don't found it there, can anyone help me ??
 
Hi alioh :hello: Welcome to the forums.

Have you tried installing again from the Play Store. You can do that even though it says installed.
 
Try opening up the free ebook you got with the nexus (The Bourne Dominion) or the user's guide. Both will open in Google Play Books. You can see both in the Library widget.

One thing of note, the Google Play Books icon is labelled "Play Books" no Google, though it should've shown up in the "all" apps list

There should be an "Open" button on the Play Store page for Google Books in the grey bar above the screenshot. It looks like yours is missing...hmmm. In regards to Atmazzz, there is no uninstall button for Google Play Books, or any of the default Google apps, because we're not allowed to uninstall them.

Have you tried rebooting?

Yes, the Uninstall button don't show when i search for the app.

No, how i can reboot it? am i going to lose the apps/files in the device?
 
To reboot - hold the power button down and you'll get an option to shut down. Once it's shut down, press and hold the power button again for a few seconds to boot.

Another option is to log into the web version of the Play Store, and try to install the Play Books app to your Nexus 7 from there.

i tried the to options but nothing happen.
