Help Missing Photos since 2014 when viewing on PC.

I have a Samsung S3. In my gallery folder (saved to an SD card) I have about 2000 photos. Up to December 31, 2013, I could see them in order created via my PC no problem.

Once the new year arrived, I am no longer able to see any photos beyond December 31, 2014. I have a handful of photos labelled January 4, 2014, which are actually photos from January 2013.

I have no idea why this is happening.

I can see my 2014 photos on my phone in the gallery. I cannot see them when connected to my PC to download them.

If I create a new folder on my phone and move the photos into that folder, I can find them while connected to my PC. Great right? Sure, but that's a bit of a pain AND I found out that moving the photos, changes the photos' created date to the date I moved them. (i.e. the photo's capture date is lost in the metadata)

I have also tried having the photos go directly to my phone instead of saving them to the external SD card. These photos I can find while connected via PC. When I move these photos to a new folder, their creation date changes as well.

So I seem to have two issues:
1) 2014 Photos are not being seen on my SD card when viewing via my PC
2) Moving photos from their CAMERA folder (when taken) into a new folder changes the "photo taken" date to the day the photo was moved.

Any one have ideas for fixing these issues?

1) Gallery shows all photos in all folders on the phone - including ones you can't see from your computer.

2) Use an EXIF editor to seer what date the picture was taken on and you can name it with the date. (APD Time Stamp actually stamps the date on the picture.)

Most likely the pictures u can't see on pc saved to the devices storage and the pics u can are on the sdcard

When connected to the PC the pics should be in the sdcard in data/camera I believe
You can look in the internal storage in the similar location, should have camera folder and a 100andori folder in the internal one

Actually I can see the SD folder for the pictures. There are photos there, but from 2013. NONE of the photos that I've taken in 2014 show up. I can see them on the phone, but not via PC, ergo I'm unable to download them.

I did a work around and moved all my 2014 images to a new folder (on the phone memory) and downloaded them. I then downloaded all my 2013 images and reformatted the card.

I'm not sure why it happened, but it was rather time consuming to workaround it!
