Root missing Samsung home.apk

I really messed up and knew better and am mad at myself, so please don't tell me how dumb I was. Trust me I know.

I accidentally deleted the samsung home apk (at least I think thats the one it was), while I was trying to clear up some bloat ware. I wasn't paying enough attention and uninstalled it.

Now my home button doesn't take me to a home screen, because I have no home screen.
Does any one have the apk so that I could re-download it to my phone.
Thank you

As separate application it does not exist is a part of the Firmware I guess that only thing can be repair it is to flash a stock rom for you ace.

hm... then what are the samsung apks that it came with, because I was pretty sure it was samsung home, but I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been and could have been mistaken.

I have also tried a stoc rom for my ace, and odin is getting stuck on set up connection.

But thank you

Uninstall any previous drivers or KIES. Download new KIES from samsung web site install it and restart the PC. Put your phone in download mode wait for the KIES to recognize the new drivers and restart again the PC it should work. After that open odin and you should see COM1 as it recognize your port for the phone.

1. If is Rooted,Unroot the Phone
2. Take out the SIM card and SD Card
3. Flash via odin

Ok, so tried this, still odin gets stuck on setup connection. It never tells me its failed in any way, it just hangs there indefinitely.

I also noticed that I am following these instructions
Flashing Roms or Return to Stock with Odin BY PICTURE

and using odin 1.82.

Could that be the issue?

EDIT #2: Ok, well the phone its self is better, but it no longer ditects my sim card? Any clue?

Sorry to disrupt again..
I thought it was working, but it can't read my sim card. Any ideas?

It depends witch firmware you put on your phone. You should choose firmware for you contry region (or better Provider Firmwares: Carrier Branded version of Samsung Galaxy Ace), if your phone was rooted you need it to be unrooted before you flash, SIM card and SD card should be out from the phone before flashing i think you already know that. Beyond that I don't have a clue try reflash with some other firmware that include your country.

Yeah, I just reflashed and it worked, so who knows why it didn't work the first time. Still thought Thank you :)
