Help Missing sms notification tick box!!!

Hello all. Ive got a Galaxy Ace running on Froyo and only got it a week ago. Quite impressed but im misssing this option??? Why do i not have it?? I want it to vibrate when my messages come through!!!!

I go to....... Messaging>Menu>Settings>
Then i scroll down to the notification settings and look where the vibrate tick box should be (below the status bar tick box and the ringtone selector) but its nowhere to be seen. Thinking i may take the phone back as its obviously supposed to be there. GRRRRRRR

I also cant connect via USB to either my Samsung TV or Samsung Home Cinema system. I contacted Samsung and they said i needed a firmware upgrade for it to work and need to run the phone through Kies.
I informed them that i have already connected it to Kies and it has the current updates installed. Now they want me to send it off for repair. Rather annoyed to be honest. Should i just take it back to the shop and demand a new handset there and then???

Try going from the home screen to menu>settings>sound and scroll down to the bottom of the list and make sure haptic feedback is enabled.

I can't help you with the TV thing.
 
Vibrate is definitely on as it works for all other applications but just dont have an option to turn SMS notifications on. It seems missing??
